The Naked Philosopher
Violette will be presenting her very first one-woman show at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival in August 2026.
The Naked Philosopher is a one-woman burlesque show/philosophy lesson. Created, written, and performed by internationally-acclaimed, award-winning Canadian burlesque performer Violette Coquette, this particular philosophy lesson looks at the pleasures of art, extravagant gift giving, and how the art form of burlesque might save us all.
Be forewarned – there is no “fourth wall”! Guests are expected to be delightfully engaged in the show by cheering, philosophizing (and possibly helping Violette remove a glove).
Burlesque is the “art of the striptease.” This is strictly an 18+ burlesque show meant for adult audiences only.
